Snake year in little boxes

Wow in a blink of an eye, my 4 precious days of cny break is over. That said, half of the February month's gone too >.<
How was your CNY? bet it was good. Mine was great with (too much) steamboat, cny goodies and pretty much good luck this year! :D
Feasting started before cny. Meet up with my polygirls for dinner at Yomenya Goemon :) Opted for duck aglio and it was really good. Ended the night with some chocolate lava and strawberry cheesecake sweet treats, whee :)

And next night, Jack & I finally tried Vietnamese cuisine for dinner at Nam Nam noodle bar and I really like it, they were so generous with tiny greens in the soup! We ordered Southern Roll for side and it was mehh~ Chocolate cake for desserts to end the night. Need to quit this everyday bad habit.

Saturday 8am see me and Rach at Fajar for a healthy run :D The canal used to be my running route, just realized it's been almost 3 years. My reward - whole box of #twg macaroon hahaha. My fav. definitely has to be the citrus.

Day 1 OOTD - HVV's Chinoiserie Cheongsam in navy
CNY this year is no less different from any other year. Yearly affair at my 2 grampy's place and night at J's :)
We also had oMocha team gathering on day 2 night, see our yusheng filled with abalone and no veggies! Anyway, clumsy me decided to drop my camera and I have to go fix it again, urghz.

Day 2 OOTD - Lollipopbestie's Katie Lace Grecian Dress in cream
Finally oatmeal for breakfast on Wednesday for work, I miss this bowl of goodness :)
Vday this year was a simple affair :) Jack decided we shld go for Teppanyaki because there's free performance for dinner hahaa. But the performance just made me realized how much oil, butter and soy sauce goes into our small portion of food, eeeks. A cup of tea and slice of cake to end the lovely night! :)

Vday OOTD - Ohvola's Winstone Dress in Denim

It's been a long and tiring week full of visiting and late night sleep. I'm all drained at the end of work today. Gonna take this weekend to replenish my energy with more rest!
have a great weekend! ;)

✈ Hongkong - Day 4

Saturday was considered our last full day in HK since we had a morning flight to catch on Sunday :( So we woke up early in the morning to get some dimsum breakfast fix!
we decided to head to the highly recommended Lin Heung Tea House and try out, took us quite awhile to find it!
the place was full house and there were alot of people!!! had to snatch for seats before we head to snatch dimsum. haha.

the above 3 items were probably the only decent ones J managed to get. I feel I could get better char siew baos in sg. The ones in Lin heung had their skin a little too thick and hard for my liking!
I was loooking forward to what the boyf went to get, but guess what's inside.. pig liver -_- lolol!
yeah, this is how you have to snatch whenever the staff pushes the trolley out.
steam kueh -_-
not so yummy custard bun, doesn't flow at all! we were all damn full and bloated from the PAOS + cake, plus our morning bread from bakery. not so nice dimsum afterall. lol.
Lin Heung Tea House
162 Wellington Street
Central, Hong Kong

Nearest MTR: Sheung Wan (Exit E2)

Headed to Times square for shopping! HK's probably the only place J managed to lug so much good quality clothes back at an extremely cheap rate!
Dinner at random shop along the street, very famous for their handmade fishball and wanton. love this!!!!
chilling & resting the tired feet. we wanted to go to the peak but decided to give it a miss since we were pretty drained + it started drizzling! coldest night!!
our daily path.
had to grab a cup of mango blended at 11pm even though we were both shivering. whooopz!

7am next day! Decided to have light breakfast at the hotel before heading to airport :)
my oatmeal and bread fix :D & a big breakfast set
Had another round of breakfast at the airport + a cuppa green tea latte :)
HK's definitely a pretty fun place for both of us since we haven't been there before!! :)
Can't wait to realize our next trip, time to save and aim for another destination!

✈ Hello Macau - Day 3

Because we missed Australia Dairy Co on Day 2, the boyf suggested we have breakfast there before going to Tsim Sha Shui to catch our ferry! :D The wait was pretty short but we had to share seats with 2 other strangers though :/
We ordered 2 of their traditional breakfast set + egg pudding! (: I loveee the toasted bread and eggs (could be less oily though:/)! Macaroni was so so for me, maybe because I don't really fancy it. The best was iced yuan yang! Wouldn't suggest to have egg pudding because I was already feeling so egg-y after eating all the eggs. Too much eggs white.

Australian Dairy Co.
47 Parkes Street Jordan, Hongkong
Nearest MTR: Jordan (famous for scambled eggs and ham macaroni)

We still had an hour to roam around before heading to China Ferry Terminal for our ride!
We took the shuttle bus that brought us to Grand Lisboa hotel. The Macau's attraction are all located nearby and within walking distance.
We were too hungry and decided to settle lunch at a random shop near Margaret's egg tart :) I had duck + chicken. All set comes with cabbage, costs about $7 :)
I've heard reviews about how we must try eggtarts from Macau!! Jack & I was so enthu we bought 4 to try. I like the crust because it was flaky, but we had a little tad too much eggtarts the past days (8!!!) and we felt like puking after 3 ahaha.

Margaret's Cafe e Nata Portuguese egg tarts
Edif. Kam Loi, Nam Van Area
(it's located away in a back alley)
Took a walk to Senado Square and Ruins of St. Pauls :) We bought so much snacks back after trying lots of it :| The shop was really generous! Not a great idea afterall carrying those heavy bags the rest of days.
The Venetian. So b.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l
See the picture below this and you will figure why we both were all smiley :p
I'm a very chinese person and can't live many days without rice. hehe This Taiwan minced pork rice was so good. Jack's pork cheek noodle was so so~ ya cheeks, eeks
Finally a place for us to sit and chill. There ain't much coffee chain around HK. The most we see around is Starbucks and mCafe. Heard so much ravings about this cafe and we went to try. Can't remember my cake name but I love it so much :) I bought a pretty cup back too but can't bear to use it!
Blessed with a good night talk with my boyf :)
