A single day is enough to make us a little larger

If there's one thing I appreciate after holding a full time job, it will definitely be the weekends. I used to take weekends for granted because school days are like weekends everyday right?? hahaa. Now, I truly enjoy how I can sleep in and slack away the whole day.
Lunch x Soup Spoon
Gave the new soup a try, pretty much like it! The smoked salmon sandwich was good too :)

Chocolate Raspberry Tart x Ma Maison
The chocolate and tart is so so good, but I'd say the cream's not the kind for me!

We caught G.I Joe and also finally had a try at Skinny Pizza!
I 'moustache' you a question!
the one who recycle laughter with me <3 thank you for loving me, always.

I always wondered how 'skinny' Skinny Pizza is. And now, I can tell you..... It truly is, because the crust is super cracky and the dough is nothing like the traditional ones. We ordered Smoked Turkey Swiss and boy, the blueberries compote together with it makes the perfect combination. I love it.

Tuck in!
Takeaway coffee from our favourite Starbucks!
Feels like a long time since I last ate at so many cafes in a day..

Can't believe it's mid-week again tomorrow!

Happy Easter Sunday

The long awaited weekends came and left so quickly. It feels good to take a long 3 days break away from work! Spent some quality time with the family, the boyf and my dearest friends. 1am at Upper Thomson followed by a foot massage at 3am. Yes, whatttttttttttt?? Can't remember when was the last time I got home at 6am. Too old for such activities definitely
The Young Becomes The Old.
I remember when I would see my parents, teachers, or other adults and find myself wondering what they were like they were my age. What were they like when they were those little kids at the playground? What were they like when they teenagers partying and falling in love for the first time? What were they like when they were in college or after high school when they were trying to figure out who they were going to become for the rest of their life?
And I remember it being so difficult to even imagine it. To be playing video games with friends, or partying crazily that turned into nights we weren’t able to remember or will never forget, or just hanging out with people being foolish and being a kid. But one day we suddenly grew into these adults and realize just how difficult it is to remember what it was like to be so young and so free. And it’s as if time decided to rob us of our memory of being so small in this enormous world of our.
In moments like these, I remember to not take right now for granted. Because even though I’ll take a way some memories and might end of missing being this age, I already know how difficult to remember it all when the young becomes the old.

Super Soul Sunday - Apple Beetroot juice

So.... I opened the fridge and found 2 beetroots, sitting at one corner, already lonely for a week.
I decided I was free, felt like drinking a cup of juice and wanted to experience something new - I took 1 out and also an apple. And here's how my Super Soul Sunday - Apple Beetroot juice came about!
slurping down this cup of goodness, thinking how time flies when one's busy.

Beetroot is messy. Because after chopping into smaller pieces, my whole chop-board and table was reddish!!
So I was curious and decided to Google about the benefits. Here's what I found:

  • Beetroot juice can help lower your blood pressure and keep it at a healthy level (mmmm, i don't need it to be lower because mine's low enough :o)
  • It contains magnesium, phosphorus, sodium, potassium and calcium as well as small amounts of copper, selenium, zinc, iron and manganese.
  • Blood flow to the brain - improve the function of the frontal lobes, which are responsible for maintaining proper cognition, and prevent dementia (sounds great)
  • Detoxify the liver, improving the digestive health as well as the body's metabolism
  • Benefit the skin and protect it from premature aging due to the free-radical neutralizing effect the antioxidants have (whoo, i love this)
  • Boosts the immune system and fights inflammation
  • help increase the quality, thickness and gloss of hair, and to fight dandruff. (wow really? I need thicker hair :|)
No doubt it's very delicious! This cup of juice is very simple to make. Simply chop 1 apple and 1 beetroot, throw them all into the blender. Slowly add a little water while blending, I think about 100ml(?) and let it blend till ultra smooth.

Pour into a cup and it's ready to be served!

Slurps slurps* And warning you first, it's very filling!
Have fun drinking and have a great Sunday :)
