Strangers' Reunion // Kampong Bahru

last week after I picked my camera at harbour front, decided to pop by to find the bf for lunch.

no, I didn't just woke up, it's just too hot and sunny! :< decided to have simple lunch aka traditional chinese food mee pok because I've already decided to have waffles and latte right after this haha

googled for nearby cafes the day before since we only have 1 hour to eat! and I found that the newly opened Strangers' Reunion was just a few doors away from Highlanders, so I had our desserts plan settled :D

the cafe was a hidden find, we walked past without noticing it! anw, Strangers' ain't very big, more suitable for small groups of people. it has a special interior concept. the furnitures are a mixture of modern and traditional, v mismatch. all the tables and chairs are different, mostly in wood.. except the one that we're on haha.

^homemade waffle with yoghurt and fresh fruits! waited v long for it, they were so short-handed!! the waffle was yummy but preferably with lesser yoghurt :/ maybe it'll go better with vanilla ice-cream or maple syrup (the other 2 choices)

tried their latte and it was good :) Jack got long black and I find it a lil sour but.. that's gourmet coffee for you.

^now you know why we past by the shop without noticing it! I stayed on a lil while to finish the waffle and my drink with my book before going back.

Happiness is homemade

Our cooking & baking date has finally arrived!! thanks to the host's big kitchen and with everything needed, all our food turned out successful and delicious :D

groceries shopping :D make a list of ingredients beforehand so you can pick and go!

because Grace and I are not...... very talented in baking (haha!), the best we could is to cook Aglio Olio for lunch. turned out not bad hahaha :)

Vivian wanted to make Japanese Swiss Roll but the cream went wrong and skin turned out too thin. But we were quick to spread yoghurt and made crepe instead!! Yummy and much healthier! :D I wanna try this on my own someday!!!!
