Merry Christmas

X'mas this year is definitely a quiet affair. I only had a few pre mini celebration here and there to commemorate this day. And right now, I'm spending this special day nursing a fever of 38.9 degrees, dripping water nose and sore throat :(

 

Dinner last Friday with my dearest girlfriends - Backyard @ Dempsey. The location of the restaurant really lives up to the name, Backyard. We had such a hard time finding it! The food was surprisingly very affordable, like my Cajun chicken at $13 I think? We spent the rest of night with some gift exchanges and photo-taking. My Santa gave me a perfect gift - a HH blazer which I really wanted for work! :D

J&I spent Xmas eve watching CZ12, really good movie :) After which, at about 10pm, we decided to head for some desserts to "countdown" haha. I wondered if this is the thing that causes my illness! :/

The Loft x Sunday brunch

I spent the weekends lazing around, catching up on some shows, cleaned the room, went work, breakfast with mum and Sunday with the boyf. J bought me to The Loft yesterday for brunch and boy, I love that place (: It's a quaint cafe along Smith Road and though it's a Sunday, the place's pretty much empty we almost had the entire place to ourselves

Need some lifeeeeeee

In approximately one week's time, I'll be an official graduate of SMU!!!!! It's been a tedious 3.5 years. *wipe sweat & throw confetti*

As much as I'm excited and happy now, I know deep down a part of me will miss the student life someday. 

It's time to join the workforce. Keeping my fingers cross for whatever that's coming along in the future.

So anyway, my life now is very very boring. Just books and work, books and work. Can't wait for next week to come, I want to shop!!! A short yummy food post below!

BKT.. the perfect kind of dinner on rainy night. Over ordered for 2 I know hahah.

Went over to The Fabulous Baker Boy after so much hype about their cakes on instagram. Kinda love how quiet the place is on a Friday night, can just chill there foreverrrrrrr.

decided on apple cider - very moist and soft but I don't taste anything apple? feels more like carrot cake though! :/ We were too full after dinner to get another slice, probably red velvet the next time!

and yay to new loots! been wanting to get an outerwear and the one from LB came just at the righttttttt time :D

I've heard so much ravings about their angel hair pasta and it definitely didn't let us down! On top of that, it's cheap - $3.90 for sherry minced pork and sakura ebi :D

Starters - confit of salmon with apple and fennel salad. a little bit like raw to half-cooked kinda taste, i love sashimi so I simply love this too!

J's confit of duck with orange segments and saute shittake mushrooms was really well done too! The texture of the meat was really tender and we just had to wow at every mouth!

We tried a new chocolatey flavor - chocolate w pb, caramel & nuts and it was wayyyy too sweet god. I never really like caramel. I still prefer granny's favourite or chocolate stout for sure :D
