Last Saturday before school

we decided to have lunch at Javier's Rotisserie & Salad Bar, one of my favorite place to eat!
It's located at Orchard Cineleisure Basement 1 :)
and why I love it is because we get to fill lotsa food on our big plate! Jack always laugh at how I tried to put everything until it is over-spilling. Very filling and satisfying for 2 pax! It was great value for money too :)

Collected our movie tickets and walked around since we had some time! We went to Da Paolo Gastronomi at Paragon. So we sat and had a cup of coffee and Creme Brulee for me while looking at the chef making his pizza :D

Sherlock Holmes was okay I guess, except a little boring at the beginning. I almost fell asleep hahaha. other than that, he's still as intelligent.

Maxwell centre for dinner! the boyf wanted to try Lao Ban but it was closed!! but we managed to try something similar.
Bumped into my cousin & her boyf so we had a meal together! :D more of these pleaseeeeeeeee.

Our day ended with a night stroll at "人山人海" Chinatown!

School started today........ Drowned with 49 pages of readings before class! Deciding if I should stick with my current schedule. Help!

welcoming the dragon year

The Chinatown was already beautifully decked with bright lights and dragon-themed decorations while I was there a few days ago. On top of that, there were many stalls selling Chinese New Year's goodies and the festive must-have Bak Kwa along the main streets!
these were taken in the afternoon so there wasn't alot of people! Went by there earlier on with the boyf and boy it was squeezy. It's fun to join in the crowd once in a while haha.

So, school's in 1 day time :( and Chinese New Year in 2 weeks time :)!

64th monthsary

I always love the start of a brand new month/year! Not only it symbolizes new beginning or a fresh start, it's also our monthsary day! :> No we don't celebrate every monthsary, perhaps a simple lunch/dinner if we're free! And here's the day on the train with nobody sitting across us. Peace.

hahahahaa. emo sad boy

been awhile since we last went causeway point. we used to go there 2-3 times a week after school #boring. changed so much ever since! I was craving for burger and hence freshness burger cafe! the boyf was so happy haha.
filling meal! the burger is a lil' overpriced :/ fries was good!!!!! cost us a total of $15+, not too bad overall. You can give it a try!

many many more <3 to come ;)

Attended my first wedding lunch on Monday :) Although I really dislike the idea of going for the sake of going, because I don't know the groom and bride, I get to feel love around! haha Thought the luncheon might be something different but it's the same as dinner. Boy the ballroom is grand and beautifullllllll!!!!!

Sheraton Towers
 cheers to the newlywed :)

and afternoon Yakun toast with the family after that! Do you see coffee and tea runs in the genes? haha.

I love this bunch of girls

no words can describe my heartfelt thanks for this friendship :) we've been through ups and downs and it's really amazing to see how we are all growing, moving on for the better. Our topic also changes years after years. It used to be all about fep and bugis street, to poly, to university and now our future - wedding, housing, babies (nope, none of us is getting married soon haha). These lil' talks and meetups once in a while really gets us all excited.

we couldn't find any affordable restaurant with less queue and ended at Yoshinoya! hehehe. haven't had it for long timeeeee yums!

drew lots for our desserts place!
Took Haagen Daz 30 minutes to prepare our 7 scoops of ice-cream
and gone in 5 minutes hahahaha

It's depressing because school's starting in one week time... :( I wished for better time, project and work management!

Day 1 of 2012

First post of 2012. And here are ....

My goals for the beautiful year ahead:
1. finish uni by end of the year!!! yes, my plan is to complete in 3.5 years
2. get my driving license
3. to run at least once a week. stay healthy and keep fit!
4. visit 5 new coffee cafes (I already have 1 in mind!)
5. be a better daughter :|
6. Travel! (hk, taiwan or bkk? :D)
7. reach my xxxx savings goal.
8. try 1-2 new films

alright, that's about it.

below are some sweets I received for Xmas:
01. Coach Wristlet: hehe from the sweet couple, my bosses. I always love the two of them because they are really nice people. They are very flexible and really accommodate to my busy school schedule :')

02. Philips ear-piece: gift exchange received from the Ohanas. my ear piece broke down and this came in handy. still not used to in-ear plugs though haha. nice color!!

03. Market book: got this for gift exchange from lewis :) since I didn't have a planner and decided not to waste any $ on a new scheduler. I drew the calendar up myself inside. my 2012 planner!

04: S100: came in a surpriseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. love this so much, not as much as i love the person :p anyway, managed to sell away my old cam! yippee.

05: Don't sweat the small stuff by Richard Carlson: this is not a gift. I picked it up from from the book shelf at my 2nd workplace, belongs to my sup. It's an interesting book, really reminds me to live in a calmer and less stressful way, and be able to let go of our problems.

"Look for the extraordinary in the ordinary"
The truth is, we see in life what we want to see. if you search for ugliness you'll find plenty of it. If you want to find fault with other people, your career, or the world in general, you'll certainly be able to do so. But the opposite is also true. If you look for the extraordinary in the ordinary, you can train yourself to see it. it's all a matter of intention.

There's so much to be grateful for, so much to be in awe about. Life is precious. Put your attention on this fact and little, ordinary things will take on a whole new meaning.

There are so many more inspirations rules/essay inside, will share some of my favorites again!

Happy New Year! May 2012 be a blessed and great year for you! :)
